Shoaib Akhtar

Shoaib Akhtar, a former Pakistani fast-bowler, was trolled by social media users on Friday (October 13) because of his post before the India versus Pakistan ICC World Cup 2023 game.

On the India vs Pakistan match which was held in Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Shoaib Akhtar captioned a picture of him from his playing days on X (formerly Twitter), “History shall repeat itself tomorrow.”

The Indian cricket fan base was enraged by this post and began trolling Akhtar. They reminded him of “history” from the ODI World Cup in which India and Pakistan met.

India won all seven World Cup matches between 1992 and 2019 between the two teams. The Indian cricket fans reminded Akhtar who has 6.1 million followers on X.

Shoaib Akhtar, who was the subject of heavy trolling from his followers, responded with a second picture showing him celebrating Sachin Tendulkar’s dismissal during Test Match. But still trolling persisted. Akhtar then had to delete the post.
