Johnny Depp Praises Red Sea Film Festival as a Platform for Rising Stars
Hollywood actor Johnny Depp has lauded the Red Sea Film Festival as a crucial platform for young talent on their way up in the industry. Dressed in a sleek black ensemble, Depp joined a lineup of renowned celebrities, including Will Smith, as they arrived in Saudi Arabia to celebrate the best of local and international filmmaking at the third annual festival.
Before the world premiere of director Yasir Al-Yasiri’s film HWJN, Depp expressed his gratitude for the festival on the red carpet, saying, “It feels amazing to be here and show my support. The festival is of utmost importance for aspiring young artists. I am truly honored to be part of it.”
Later on, Depp was photographed alongside Indian actor Ranveer Singh, who was honored by US actress Sharon Stone during the festival’s opening night. Depp’s appearance comes after his recent legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard, in which he was awarded $10.3 million for damages to his reputation.

Meanwhile, Men In Black star Will Smith was seen beaming at the event, dressed in a stylish navy three-piece suit. British actor Ed Westwick also made an appearance with his girlfriend, Amy Jackson.

Renowned filmmaker Baz Luhrmann expressed his excitement at being part of the Red Sea Film Festival, stating, “I am truly honored to be here at a time when storytellers’ voices need to be heard. I am thrilled to support this event and am eagerly looking forward to seeing some remarkable films.”
